Madam Speaker,

On a point of order, I wish to inform this Parliament that as a result of the vote taken by this House, I will be meeting with the President of the Republic later today to advise him to call an election in a timely fashion. This Government will remain a vigilant caretaker Government to ensure that the Republic has the Governance it needs pending the expression of the will of the people, but we will not be undertaking any further legislative action, absent an emergency or clear need for immediate legislation that can not wait until the people have developed their mandate. I look forward to making our case to the people of the Republic at the ballot box.
