B-004: Marijuana Legalization Act

Madam Speaker,

I'm pleased to present this common-sense bill to Parliament which respects the fundamental liberty of our citizens to make their own choices. The notion that the consumption of Marijuana should result in incarceration or criminal punishment is absurd. This bill provides reasonable taxation and regulation to bring Marijuana from the streets to the stores--and creates an excellent opportunity for income for our nation in the process. 

This extra income will be used to help fund our attempts to bolster our armed forces and will also be used as an important funding source in a bill we will offer very soon to encourage our young citizens to join the military by providing them free education in exchange for their service.

In short Madam Speaker, this bill is a win for everyone. It's a win for personal liberty. It's a win for the Government which will have its coffers bolstered by the taxation in this bill. It's a win for Law & Order as it takes these deals from the shadows into the shops. I encourage everyone to support this bill.
