This thread will contain all the information you need for the Aldurian presidential elections of 1683 AN.

ELECTION CALENDAR

It's that time again where Alduria selects its President! The post below will give you a basic outline of the key due dates for the election material.

TIMING: Considering we just had our parliamentary elections recently, I am aiming for a shorter but more dense election, wrapped up in a week.

NOTE: All the deadlines are timestamped at 11:59 pm EST, please find a converter here.

Please see below:

• Wed April 22 - Presidential filings open;
  
• Sat April 25 - Presidential filings close;
  
• Sun April 26 - The first day of the campaign; pre-polling, campaign kick-off events due - all presidential candidates must submit a platform outlining their agenda as President, along with a campaign kick-off speech. You may also submit events, ads, billboards, and campaign graphics/media as desired. Aim for high quality rather than high quantity. When in doubt, one more solid event or compelling ad doesn't hurt though...
  
• Mon April 27 - The second day of the campaign; day two polling, campaign events due - day 2 of the campaign, polling will be provided by admins taking into account all posted election activity up to the moment of poll issuance. Expect polling to land later in the day than earlier.
  
• Tue April 28 - The third and final day of the campaign; day three campaign events due - day 3 of the campaign, polling will not be provided by admins on this day. This is the day to leave everything out on the field - extra ads, billboards, speeches, events will go a long way in making up the minds of voters on their way to the polls. Creativity, clarity, and quality will be rewarded! When in doubt, one (or a bunch) more solid event(s) or compelling ad (s) won't hurt.
  
• Wed Apr 29 - Results will start around 5:30pm EST and will be over the Aldurian Discord server. Results will also be posted in the forum as well.

THE DICE-ROLLS

Of course, this election will have the dreaaadded DICE-ROLLS! 

Each election day, administrators will use the Roll Maiden bot to roll one 100-sided dice. This will take place in the Aldurian Discord server. This worked very well last election and is intended to create situations for the campaigns to respond to as the election happens. The system will be exactly as done in the parliamentary elections a few weeks ago.
