It is an honor to welcome you to Alduria. We note your long career in the service of the Empire of the Alexandrians in many capacities. We know of your great capacity, especially in foreign and military affairs. The Republic of Alduria would be undeniably lucky to have you in its service.

We are in dire need of talented ambassadors and statesmen. Alduria is a new and small country, and our policy at the moment is to build relationships with nations around Micras to ensure peace and prosperity as we continue the hard job of building a new nation. The people of Alduria have endured a lot and are now seeking peace and prosperity. It will be our job to help secure that peace so we can bring prosperity.

However, that does not have to mean we are meek or weak. As you can probably well attest, diplomacy also includes strength and conviction when necessary.

I have submitted your name for consideration to the President and Prime Minister of Alduria for appointment to a position in this Government. I have recommended that you are named Deputy Secretary of State. The Deputy Secretary assists the Secretary in the overall management of the department. Reporting to the Deputy Secretary are several Under Secretaries, along with several staff offices.

I will depart for vacation abroad soon - during my absence, you will serve as Acting Secretary of State of Alduria.
